    Question [SOLVED] ZoneAlarm Extreme STALLS on install

    Hi all!

    I just did a clean install of the new Extreme, and on the screen that says total programs scanned, it stalls. It has been 1/2 hour and has not moved off 558 programs.

    Any suggestions?

    I am now on win7 32bit

    You mean the one at install? If yes, what are the button(s) say(s)?
    Sometimes the green bar is not filled fully in green but it does not mean that the scan has not finished.

    Hiya Fax!

    It was the one in the initial install. I got so flustered that after an hour I rebooted. Now I am trying to remember the setting that I had LOL
    It's senioritis hahaha.
    Seriously, is it listed any place?
    I am on a private network.

    Well, I would start then by running the ZA removal tool first and then reinstall ZA without touching any settings.

    Remember that the green bar of the scan at install can be not fully filled in green even if the scan has complited. Just look the button 'cancel' when it changes to 'done' or 'continue' or something similar then push it to go on with the installation.

    EDIT: and cold reboot is the last thing you want to do when these things happens, it will corrupt the install, ZA and even system files.
