    Default Newest version of ZAISS.

    Hi there,

I'm using version of ZAISS. I tried version 9.1.507.000 when ZAISS notified me about the new product update (around early April) but of course that caused my HDD to be constantly active and so I went back to From then onwards, I left ZAISS as it was.

The thing that concerns me is this; after reverting back to version I never assumed that ZA would release another update for the HDD issue (version 9.1.603.000) and so my copy of ZAISS did not notify me about the update as it did with 9.1.507.000. It was only one day when I was surfing the net did I know about version 9.1.603.000.

What I'm trying to say is; how long should I wait for ZAISS to notify me about a new product update (version I now that it varies as of where the servers are located, but if say, after 2 weeks ZAISS hasn't automatically notified me about the new product, should I just go ahead and install version

Ever since early-April, I've been using of ZAISS - I'm a little bit concerned that I'm using an outdated version!

Also - what is the best way to install ZAISS? Upgrade, or clean installation?

    Sorry for the long-winded post,

This Link in the Helpful Hints and Tips section may anyaswer your Update notice question.. at the Bottom of that post are Links to all the Latest Paid version of Zone Alarm..

When will the Next Zone Alarm be made Available?

As for whether to do a Clean or Upgrade Install. that up to you both are safe when upgrading from any version. 9.1

Here is my 2 cents worth..:

The safest procedure is to :

1.) Download the Latest installer preferably with IE Browser and (no Download Manager/accelerator like Get-Right, Livewire, Bit-Torrent, uTorrent) and save it to your Hard drive.

(MultiPlatform, installer will install on Both WinXP SP3 and Vista and Windows7)

NOTE: If you need a Language other than English, Click on the (Global Sites) Tab on the Top Right side to Select ZA Propducts in other Languages..

    ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite updates

2.) Before you Uninstall your current ZA, UNcheck "Load ZA... at startup" (under Overview - Preferences tab)

3.) Reboot the Computer. So that vsmon.exe/TrueVector will be removed from Memory

4.) Now use the new ZoneAlarm Removal Tool: Click here

Save to desktop, right click and "run as administrator" This tool will remove all ZoneAlarm products from your system.

Please just download and run the tool, following the instructions. (you can un-install without net connections)

5.) Now Install the new update (clean Install) and Accept the default Setting, Auto-Learn Mode and Choose Trusted Zone, not Internet Zone..

*** NOTICE: Please note that ZAAV, ZASS and ZA Extreme do not play nice with many overlapping security tools (even if disabled).
