Default [SOLVED] ZAX/Win7: Intermittently cannot browse web & e-mail -> Broken ZA settings

I've been having an intermittent problem with ZA lately and the release version before it.

ZA Extreme Securith version 9.3.014.000 (updated to yesterday)
    Windows 7 Professional x64.

On the version before it, all of a sudden I would get a blue screen and have to restart. Then, if the computer did NOT blue screen, eventually I could not browse the internet w/ firefox or IE and my Thunderbird e-mail client would not connect, but, some other programs would still be conneced like my torrent client I use for getting all my linux distros (I do testing on them).

So it's not the whole internet getting locket out. If I "repair" the connection it gets locked out completely.

If I close ZA EVERYTHING works and If I re-open ZA everything works until it happens again.

After upgrading to the newest version yesterday I haven't had a blue screen yet, but I still have the same connection issues.

    Any suggestions?

Did you update keeping the existing settings? if yes, you should try to run ZAX without restore any ad-hoc settings nor changing any default ones. This is to test if on defaults you still have problems. Usually connection problem are related to corrupted or incorrect settings.

BSOD if caused by OS should be fixed since ZA has enbedded Microsoft hotfixes to resolve bugs in windows 7.

Since it was doing this before I upgraded to the last version, when I installed the newest one yesterday I did NOT keep my existing settings and it is still having the issue. BSOD has not happened yet so it must have been fixed.

I originally figured my onboard NIC was the problem until I closed ZA and it fixed everything.

Thanks... try this below in case the some settings were still kept somehow and test again on defaults

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

Next try by only booting with ZA and MS programs and services to see if you are still able to replicate the problem

1.) Type MSConfig in the win 7 search box and click ENTER
2.) Once in MSConfig, click the Startup Tab
3.) Remove the checks from everything except ZLClient
    4.) Click the Services Tab
5.) Place a check in "Hide All Microsoft Services"
6.) Now remove checks from everything other than TrueVector Internet
Monitor and ForceField (if present), and click OK.
    7.) Restart your computer

    How does it work?

NOTE: You can place your computer back into a normal startup process by
going back into msconfig and choosing the Normal Startup option on the
    General tab.

Strange how a reset fixed it when I installed the latest version as DO NOT KEEP SETTINGS.

Somehow doing the reset clears more than installing with DO NOT KEEP SETTINGS.

I would really like to know WHY this is!!!!

Great! Issue resolved then. Settings may have not been fully reset due to the OS locking ZA files. The reset procedure has a more aggressive approach and was probably able to do it.
