When - during encryption of a harddrive - Datalock encounters files that have already been encrypted by the program they're associated with, will it then encrypt them once again or will it skip them?

    Hello,

Your question does not make sense.

DataLock cant be installed twice and it does not encrypt files and folders.

DataLock is full hard drive encryption.

So I don't know how to answer a question saying what happens if DataLock encrypts a drive thats already had files encrypted by DataLock.

That was not my question: what I asked was if some of the files on the harddisk were already encrypted by other programs than Datalock (e.g. Roboform which encrypts passwords it manages for me) - and then Datalock encrypts the entire disc. Are these already encrypted files then encrypted once more?

Yes, normally they are re-encrypted with their own propietary encryption.
This is valid for ZA as any other encryption software.
