Default Found New Network... All the Time!

    Hi Guys
I'm running ZAIS, currently version 9.1.008.000. Since the updates that introduced Win7 compatibility a while ago, my laptop keeps getting the found new network screen 3 out of 5 start-ups. Another joyous unexpected bonus are intermittent no icons on start-up, which started with this Win7 compatible update (yes, I know it's a XP issue but neither our PC or laptop experienced this problem until that new ZAISS version and updates were loaded). I'm losing the will to live with it all!

Everyting is constant on the WiFi network. Any ideas on how to get it to stay with the network and not regularly see it as new? Also any ideas on the icon issue?
    Regards,

    Hi!
any reason not to update to the latest version? If not, update it. First remove fully your ZA then install the new without touching any default. See if you have still problems in new network found.

    Thanks Fax.

I think there was one update since the big new Win7 compatible version and that didn't do anything (but I've been installing ZAISS on a couple of machines and I may have mixed that up).

Having said that I forgot my experience with ZAISS is always uninstall, uninstall, uninstall (and hope). I'll look for the latest version and try it as you advise.

Normally these issues of new network found are due to third party software managing the connection instead of MS windows. This software normally comes with your network/wireless card and start after the computer has booted.

There should be an option to let the OS to manage the connection instead of them. This will fix the issue if you have such software installed.

Note that Windows 7 or XP fully patched are fully capable of delaing with the connection without this software. OS only need the drivers of the cards used.

You can find the latest version of ZASS here:

    Something additional to check.

Next time you get a new network found message make note of the IP address.

Then next time it comes up compare the IP address to the one you wrote down.

    and repeat.

Is the IP address always different?
