    Default update to 9.3.014.000

I updated to ZApro 0.3.014.000 last week. Afterward, I notice (from windows task manager) that Forcefield.exe is loaded to the memory. My firefox seems to run slower and pop up windows do not work. I need help to disable forcefield.exe from loading into the memory.

    OS: Windows XP

Having the same problem on Vista. Kept my settings, no other changes except the ZoneAlarm update. Popups and javascript don't work at all in Firefox. Some pages cause it to hang completely. Others allow me to navigate away from them and close FF, but leave its process running so I have to use Task Manager to stop the FF process before I can open FF again. Popups also misbehave in Chrome. I get the audio, but not the pop up window with the video. In IE, the launcher does not even appear on the page.

We're not talking questionable pages here either. The one specific page I've been testing with is the home page of my local newspaper, the Abany (NY) Times Union and the videos are from NDN news service. The other are the photos accompanying eBay auction listings.

FWIW, Zone Alarm took it upon itself to re-enable the ZA Toolbar in Firefox and re-attach it in IE during the update. Disabling it again in Firefox solved the problems there for me. Removing it in IE doesn't seem to help and can't find a way to kill it in Chrome.

Thanks for the info. I will try that. I am surprised that forcefield.exe was still loaded in memory even I had it unchecked in the winconfig startup application list.

ZA Toolbar is not enabled on my FireFox.

I notice forcefield.exe was loaded when I tried to start FireFox. The computer is slowed.

I also recently updated to this version, and have the same overall set-up as whitepolarbear. Don't seem to have the specific toolbar issues, but things have definitely been running far more slowly a lot of the time. I get periodic Windows messages, warning that virtual memory is low. I unchecked the "virtualisation" box to see if that would help, but it doesn't seem to have made much difference, and I now see a comment here that it should be checked. Should it?

Any other suggestions the the apparent low virtual memory issues?
