Default Internet browser access (IE, Firefox) - connexion reset

    Hi all
I just switched to XP firewall and wish to come back to ZA: the issue I met:

The access of internet browsers Ie, Firefox, (after some browsing thru Internet) seems to stop: as if the ethernet was unplugged.
When pinging with a command line: no problem: DNS: no problem...

It seems that the issue happens when I browse websites that use extensive Flash...

The only way is to reboot the PC!

Did anyone met this issue, and if so, found a way to correct it?

This sounds like you have not been keeping up with:

1.) the Latest Updates to Windows XP SP3 ?
    2.) Latest Update to IE8?
3.) Latest updates to Adobe Flash?
    4.) Latest JAVA 6.21 update?
5.) Latest updates to many other computer files/drivers on your computer?

A.) get the latest Update to Windows XP Sp3 and IE8 from Microsoft Updates

B.) download this Free (PSI) utility and install it to keep all of your other files like Flash/Java files, etc.. updated..

I have this exact same issue. I have all my software up to date so I don't think that was the problem. I then tried to remove ZoneAlarm and now I'm stuck with the issue, and cannot remove or reinstall ZA because it locked it's keys in the registry.

I could only suggest a full removal of ZA free with the http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...load/clean.exe

and then re-download the ZA Free installer from here and install.

If that fails then try the fool proof manual procedure:
I cannot find or run the ZoneAlarm uninstall program (XP/2000)
