    Default Junk mail scanner stops?

    after re-loading ZA 9.3 (9.1 would lock up my win7-64 system ), I've been having a problem with the Spam filter.

    I have Outlook rules set up to move mail into different folders when it's received, so I have the Spam filter set up to "Support scanning of multiple Inboxes".

    Now, it seems that every day or two, when I look on my screen, I've got the Spam scanner screen showing with the progress bar stopped at anywhere from 10-50% finished.

    Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

    When I dumped 9.1, I ran with Norton 360 for a few months until 9.3 was released. I removed Norton, but am wondering if he might have left something 'laying around' in my system?

    Nope, the antispam will not filter those... they must end up into the inbox for the spam filter to work.

    So...just what does the "Scan multiple Inboxes" do?

    This is real inconvienient As mail comes in from certain accounts and/or customers, I have rules set up to move it into specific folders (sub folders of my Inbox). If the AntiSpam can't clean it from any folder other than the actual Inbox, is there a way to get AS to clean it out before it gets moved (short of manually running the rules)?

    Exactly as it says, it will filter messages in multiple inboxes. You need to create multiple inboxes. This is possible if you work with an exchange server but I don't know how you could use it with just different pop accounts. For sure not by creating different pst files or creating folders called 'inbox'.

    You could try to create different profiles according to the number of inbox you want to filter. Never tried myself so I don't know if it will work and if it will create different complete inboxes structure. Also note that ZA products are for home use and not for corporate environments.
