    Default BSOD with ZA Extreme by Any key

    After upgrading to ZA Extreme (v9.3.037.000) my PC would crash whenever any key was pressed (whatever you did with mouse only had no problems). I had no problem previously with ZA Internet Security Suite. This is a similar problem to the posting except I was not able to make the problem go away with any of the sugested methods (including the one that worked for the posting's author involving turing off the keylogging feature). I would go back to ZA Internet Security Suite (ISS) but my new key only works with ZA Extreme and I have an expired license for ZA ISS.
    My Windows version is XP home SP3. Had problems with ZA Extreme 9.1.603.000 - v9.3.037.000. My CPU is Intel Core 2 6382 @1.86GHz with 3.25GB RAM. The other security programs that I had that I first uninstalled were PestPatrol & Spybot. I tried switching from my MS Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 v1 (USB) to a generic PS2 keyboard and have the same problem. I can use the keyboard without crashing the PC if I do it before the ZA loads up. Turning off keylogger function & restarting only ends up with same problem after restart. Tried uninstalling ZA first before loading ZA Extreme or doing upgrade install and problems either way. It appears that at least the keylogging feature is too sensitive. I don't know what it does if it is working and detects a keylogger but hopefully it is not go to BSOD. This wouldn't be a very good security feature.
    I'm tempted to give up since itterations trying various things to see if they fix, takes a lot of time. Is there anything important that I have left out?

    If you have tried already with selective boot (running the OS only with ZA Extreme and standard MS software) and you want to keep using ZAX then I would recommend a full wipe (full re-format) of the system and reinstall.

    In case you don't know what a selective boot is, here below you have the procedure:

    1.) Click Start -> Run
    2.) Type MSConfig in the run box and click OK
    3.) Once in MSConfig, click the Startup Tab
    4.) Remove the checks from everything except ZLClient
    5.) Click the Services Tab
    6.) Place a check in "Hide All Microsoft Services"
    7.) Now remove checks from everything other than TrueVector Internet
    Monitor and ForceField (if present), and click OK.
    8.) Restart your computer

    Still problems?

    NOTE: You can place your computer back into a normal startup process by
    going back into msconfig and choosing the Normal Startup option on the
    General tab.
