- Getting completely random BSODs with 7f code, only happen when doing Internet stuff
- Win 7 64-bit Home, ZA Free
- brand new machine, Win 7 up to date, all drivers latest, nothing installed on the machine except ZA, Windows Security Essentials, and Firefox
- Had probably 20 BSODS in a week and they are all exactly the same. Uninstalled ZA and now the random BSODs have stopped.
Here's the full BSOD message:
Problem signature: Problem
Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033
Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 7f BCP1: 0000000000000008
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
I've noticed there's a lot of these threads. This sucks because I feel "vulnerable" on the internet now since I cannot control incoming/outgoing. MS made an attempt with the new Windows firewall, but it still doesn't measure up to ZA. I hope you guys can figure this out soon. =(
Edit: just found the possible workaround posted here:
will try that.
