I'm using ZA IIS 9.3.037 on Windows 7 64 bit.
I've run into problems with ZA which is making me pull my hair out.
I need to remotely start another machine by using a Wake On Lan Magic Packet.
I've tried several utilities and have written my own little utility. In each case, ZA blocks the magic packet from being broadcast. The programs have all of the necessary permissions set in program control. It is ZA which is causing the issue. Shut down ZA and I can turn the remote computer on. Turn on ZA, and I cannot turn the remote computer on.
I've contacted ZA support and provided dumps and all of that good stuff.
In the meantime, I need to find some way of shutting down ZA from the command line.
In essence, I have to write a batch file which will
1) Shut down Zone Alarm.
2) When ZA is properly down, run the program which will turn the remote computer on
3) Start ZA up again.
I can manage steps 2 and 3, but need to find a way of performing step 1 neatly. Any suggestions?
