1.) Check youe Windows XP Host file and see if Both web sites are liste, if so remove the listings from the HOST file..

2.) your computer mat be infected and blocking access to websites that provide Security updates..?

    George,

I think you have hit on my problem. Some of the error messages I get talk about host file. Where do I find the host file????

Default cannot download new version of ZA

I am tryiing to download the new version of ZA from the website but IE explorer cannot reach the website. I get a message IE cannnot display the webpage. I get the same error message trying to get to windows update and any other security websites. I can visit other website without any problem. I have reinstalled my operating system from an image that I have use before, the problem still exits. Is there a work-around for this probem?

    Hi!

assuming your OS image is clean it could be your router that has been hacked and calls are been redirected. Reset the router, re-configure it and see if there is any improvement.

Otherwise for checking for malware presence better to go to speciliased site like spywarehammer or bleepingcomputer. Links can be found here:

P.S. Do not open multiple thread for the same issue. It is usually good norm also to follow-up on the suggestion alredy given. Did you install from original windows disk? Have you consulted spywarehammer or bleeping computer? Link?
