I have 2 new Toshiba computers running on windows 7. 2 weeks ago, one started to shut down and rebooting by itself every 15 to 20 minutes. Now, my daughter used her usb stick on the other computer to access a file and also opened u-tube on the other computer who now has the same computer. A system restore is not possible it gives the message system restore not possible because we were not able to access a file. When disabling the antivirus programme, still the same message. I reloaded the entire windows but the problem is not solved. Could it be a virus or worm brought in through the USB stick or through u-tube that was not detected by Zonelarm and is also not detected when doing a scan of the system?
How to get rid of it? It must be an auto shutdown virus of some sort.
