Unhappy Windows goes Limbo when launching programs over LAN...

I have a LAN of several computers, but only mine runs ZoneAlarm Pro
    (version:9.3.014.000
    TrueVector version:9.3.014.000
    Driver version:9.1.522.000)

My computer and my Server are both running Windows 7 Ultimate. I have a homegroup set-up, and various shared folders.

If I run a program that resides on my Server (to install something for example), by accessing it via <\\Server\folder> 9/10 my computer just hangs in limbo, with the "working" mouse icon and does not let me open Task Manager or anything, but it is not a freeze-up.

I have to press the RESET button to get everything back to normal.

I have tried running programs without ZA running, and I NEVER get this problem, anyone know what is happening?

ZA has a Trusted zone set-up for my LAN.

    Regards: Demon

    Hi!

if you don't receive any feedback from other users here please consider, since you are using a retail version of ZA, to contact the official technical support and try to troubleshoot the issue with them.

Btw, before contacting ZA support you should ensure you are on the latest ZAPRO 9.3.037.000 and double check IPv6 support in ZA firewall advanced settings is CHECKED to allow WIN7 Teredo tunnelling Pseudo-interface to work. ZA trusted zone should be set to MEDIUM and not HIGH.

Latest version can be downloaded here: www.zonealarm.com/zapdownload/

Thanks for your reply. Everything is set-up as you said, which I assume is the defaults as I did not do anything myself.

I did update ZA however, it did not find the updates itself, so had to download manually... but still have the problem.

    Will contact support....

    Thanks again.
