Default Firefox 3.6.12 / Download Manager Hijacked by Internet Extreme Security

Whereas in the past Firefox Download Manager managed my downloads, now Zone Alarm Internet Security pops up with a prompt to open/save. Then once the download is finished, I get a yes/no prompt to open the file. This is extremely annoying.

I want to disable this and get the Download manager back.

    I use Extreme Security 9.3.037.0000

    Hi!

Go to ZA Browser Security Section --> Settings --> Advanced tab --> UNcheck "Check files download for spyware".
You will disable the control of files and the option to scan them with the ZA heuristic engine in a sandbox.

May be a reading of the manual can also help you to find option and features of your ZAX

I discovered that I had taken that step already. If I turn off Browser Security, then I get back Firefox Download Manager.

Ehm, this way you completely disable the real strenght of ZA Extreme. i.e. forcefield and its sandbox. Better to use what originally suggested or move to a less complete solution like ZA Suite.
