    Unhappy Log Viewer

There is absolutley nothing in my log viewer. Doesn't this seem strange? Does it mean my Zone Alarm firewall is not working?

    May be, may be not...
Right click the ZA icon near the clock --> about --> copy to clipboard and paste it here.
Provide a description of your system. How do you connect to the internet? Do you have a router? Modem doing NAT? A usb Key?
Which Operating system you use? XP, VISTA, Windows?
Which other security tools are installed?
    etc...
    etc...

More information you provide more likely other users here will be able to better address your issue or try to help.

    Thanks,

    Hello;

It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country, or the world,
without All the Details, without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..

Limited entries in your ZA log file could be normal, depending on your environment..

1.) If your Computer is connected behind a Good Router that is Blocking the majority of the inbound Spam, etc..
2.) also, Most ISP providers now do a better job of Filtering out SPAM etc before sending it on to their customers..
3.) if your on a Laptop or Netbook that is Hibernating a lot, or not Online 24/7. there is less oportunity to create a log file..

I've been using Zone Alarm for years & there always were many entries in the log view. It would so so many intrusions blocked and give me a long list of what was blocked. This seems to have stopped with the last Zone Alarm update.

Otherwise with the information you provided we can only say reset ZA or reinstall it. Just search the board to find both procedure.
This may or may not solve your problem.

I feel like a dentist... Trying to make the extraction

    - How do you connect to the internet? Modem doing NAT/ROUTER? Wireless?
    - Do you see a number like 192.168.X.X or 10.0.X.X. or 172.16.X.X under the ZA firewall section --> zones? If not which one do you see?
