    Default [SOLVED] Update Progress Screen

    I have gotten this message on the update screen since my update to ver 9.3.037.000. System: Error unable to install



    ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:9.3.037.000
    TrueVector version:9.3.037.000
    Driver version:9.1.522.000
    Anti-virus engine version:8.0.2.48
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version:1025017280
    AntiSpam version:6.0.0.2383

    Any idea what's up? Virus defintions download normally.

    1.) This could be due to conflict with other installed Security software,
    2.) corruption of the ZA Suite Database?

    can you post possibly a little more information about your computer configuration?

    Windows OS version including Service packs?
    is this a Desktop/Laptop/Netbook?
    List any other Security Software installed that may be Blocking or Conflicting with ZA Suite?

    Windows XP sp3. All current Windows updates except Windows validation tool and Internet explorer 8. I have no other security software. I do have Ccleaner installed.

    Try this To repair this problem, please follow the steps below. Please note that this will remove your program permission settings (so you may want to make note of them), but re-establishing them is a simple process.

    1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
    2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock in the system tray lower right corner
    3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
    4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
    5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
    6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

    Did you updated any software in your computer or installed new software recently?

    The new update or the new software may conflict with ZA and cause this issue.

    In this case you should try to update the latest version of ZASS and see if you still are experiencing the problem.

    I reverted to 9.3.014.000. I have rest several times and downloaded and installed the latest engine 3 times. I have only done the windows updates for october and ccleaner newest installation. 9.3.037.000 continues to give the same error.9.3.014.000 does update antivirus and antispyware

    I'm sorry your having a compatibility problem..

    considering you are licensed user then it is better that you contact the official ZA Technical Support(Live Chat) at the link in my signature. So that you can troubleshoot properly the issue or ask for a refund if you can't fix it.

    I have the same problem (discovered today) and it affects TWO computers (on XPSP3 and one Vista SP2). So, it is unlikely that it would be due to a database corruption (it would have occurred on both computers on the same time). Is it not rather a problem with the updates delivered by the ZA server ?

    Perhaps important: the problem appeared only when trying to make a manual update. Both computers had an automatic (scheduled) update a few hours before and I did not notice anything.

    Here are the details for each computer:

    1. XP

    ZASS 9.3.0.37.000
    AV version 8.0.0.2.48 DAT AV 1030396320
    Antispam: 6.0.0.02383

    2. Vista
    same

    Any idea ?

    Same here. Started yesterday. I have been doing manual updates for some months now - no problems. Did this because auto locked up my machine for long periods and didn't seem to understand ' once per day'.

    I've had a couple of instances recently when the system seems to have re-set itself to auto update. I have corrected this.

    The only change I have made to the system recently (last week) is to install password protection to prevent this happening again

    I have just switched back to auto update and the first one is now running. The virus updates complete very quickly. The system check is still running 40 minutes later. Earlier post said that there was only a problem with manual updates - how can you tell if an auto update worked or not? Especially if there was no new version.

    Later - The machine has just run another auto update. The system tray icon showed the update for a very long time, but it did clear eventually. On the previous one I had clicked 'View Update'.

    Is it possible that this problem only happens (or shows up) when the update pop-up is active?
