    Default ZA firewall log blank, program log fine

    Just installed ZA free 9.2.076.000, in the past I have used ZA Pro. I am using Win 7 x32.

    I installed ZA free recently, and configured all of my program rules. The program alert logs are working fine, the regular firewall log is blank. I tried looking through the forum but could not find a fix, and even tried resetting ZA.

    Is the firewall log a pro feature now, or is there a bug in the program?

    Thanks, that was one thread I did not find via search. I connect via a cable modem connected to wifi router. On my win7 x32 desktop I have ZA free and AVG running.

    While Zonealarm was running, I ran another personal firewall client peerblock and saw that several connections were made to the computer, ZA firewall log is still blank. ZA program log has a normal amount of entries. Uninstalled PB and surfed around a little, ZA still blank.

    Wondering if it is working, of if I should uninstall ZA and use another option? What is the difference beteen firewall log and OS firewall log in ZA pro?

    you can not combine two Software Firewalls on the same computer as they will conflict with Zone Alarm...

    Just One, Not Two -- Never use two software Firewalls at the same time. Completely uninstall one before installing another. Use the vendor's uninstall utility or if not available, use the Windows add/remove software tool in the control panel.

    Thanks for trying to help, I am already aware of that. I tried the second one to see if incoming connections were coming in through my cable modem. This was after uninstalling ZA. I then uninstalled PB, and re-installed ZA. Same blank firewall alert log.

    The blank firewall log is actually something I have experienced with ZA before (not sure if it was with ZA free or ZA pro). Thought there would have been some subsequent information on the forum since that time.

    Not sure why it would make a difference. Uninstalled and updated graphic card driver, and now the firewall log is working on ZoneAlarm.
