Angry New Network Found (yes I read the stickies)

I keep getting the New Network found popup. Its always the same network and my PC is not wireless and does not have a wireless adapter nistalled. There is only one adapter and its directly cabled to the ADSL router. Why does it do this?

Sticky refers to third party software running at boot that take over the OS standard drivers/software and manage the connection. It is not about wireless or non-wireless.

So, normally routers comes with their own software you install to configure it and that then keep running by giving you the possibility to personalise the connection. There is also commonly the possibiolity that you or your ISP have installed ad-hoc software for your connection. They often provide same functionality than the OS software but with a nicer GUI. These are the ones that can create problems.

If you are sure this is not your case than you may want to reset ZA to its default since its settings may be corrupted.

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Fax

Thanks but very unlikely my ISP is doing anything liek that. Ihave a stnadalone ADSL modem which pluggs into a SOHO UTM fierwall and them my PC is plugged into the UTM. No way I installed anything my ISP gave me on this machine. I'll try your suggestion however, hopefully it will resolve this.

One qustion, could this be happening becuase I have Iphone and Ipods on the WiFi porttion on my network connecting to a media server running on this machine? Remeber the machine in quesiton is wired to the UTM.

Unlikely, you should get a program control alert and not a new network.
