    Smile BSOD with ZoneAlarmFree

    Hi everyone.
I love the software, ZoneAlarmFree, over the windows firewall it delivers a more complete protection by giving me more choices when encountering a internal connection request.
However, it does suffer me with BSOD.
    Here is my config.

Windows 7 x64 with latest Windows Updates.
Avira Free is installed and it is the onlt anti-virus.

    I have tried the
    9.2.102.000
    9.2.076.000
but I have no luck for both.

After I have installed 076, my computer has BSOD aperiodically, maybe once a day, and can have up to twice an hour.
Uninstalling it, it worked well for a week.
Then I found that there is an update, 102,
I tried again, and got BSOD right in the afternoon.......
Now I don't have the firewall installed and I have not faced BSOD for about another week.
After surfing the forums for some days, I found that I am not alone.

I understand and appreciate your kindness in giving out a freeware for better protection of the users, so I am not urging you to give us an better, working version. But I do hope that you can take this issue into account.
Thank you for your kind attention.

    Hi!
sorry all users here and ZAfree does not come with any support.

Unless you are able to detect how to replicate the issue on the system (apart from removing ZA), I am afraid but you will need to find another free firewall for your PC. Plenty of choice out there, just google "free firewall" and choose one that works on your system.

There are no known BSOD issues on win7 64bit with the latest version of ZA, it must be related to third party software installed on the system or conflicting drivers.

    Thanks,

    Thank you for your reply.
    No known issue so far?
Anyway, I am quite sure it is ZAfree casuing BSOD in my case.
I fully understand having no support for freeware is normal, but this sort of issues do hinder the users of ZAfree from investing more on your products, that's why I was making this post, suggesting you take it more seriously, no offence.
I will be seeking other solution later, thank you for your suggestion.

    You're welcome!

    Sorry, that what is it.
If you want support from ZA then install their PRO version. If you get a BSOD then you are entitled to contact support for help during the trial.

Btw, ZA staff does not monitor this board. We are all users here.

    Thanks,
