Thread: AV is disabled

    Default AV is disabled

    I just re-upped my anti-virus yesterday (November 28, 2010).

    Anti-virus/Anti-spyware is OFF and I am not able to click it on. I have "updated" but still scanning is not activated.

    Please help!

    ZoneAlarm Anti-virus version 9.3.014.000
    TrueVector security engine version 9.3.014.000
    Driver version 9.1.522.000
    Anti-virus/Anti-spyware engine version 8.0.2.48, DAT file version 1031354816
    ZoneAlarm Browser Security 1.5.152.10

    I am running Windows 7.

    Hi!

    not sure I understand the meaning of "re-upped". If you mean you had an expired software then you may be infected and unable to recover properly. Please take contact with the official technical support at the link in my signature. They will help you to troubleshoot the issue (if it is related to ZA and not a malware).

    You should however first remove your ZA antivirus and install the latest version that you find here:

    ok, i uninstalled zone alarm and got your latest version. anti-virus is enabled (YAY).

    Why is it that i had to resort to this forum to be told to uninstall and get a new version -- couldn't you just give me the latest version when i paid for it?

    Also, this "latest" version does not have a tab for anti-phishing/browser security. i had this tab yesterday. please advise.

    Your former installation must had a problem. Please follow-up with official support for the issue you describe (we are all users here). Looks like your ZA is not yet installed as it should.
