Unhappy Microsoft Security Essentials User Interface is tryint to set "UNrcJcrVSu.exe' to run

I'm receiving the above warning. When I click on deny and deny all the subsequent alerts that pop up, my computer crashed! How can I tell if I have MSE installed? Can I uninstall it? I'm told it is not compatible with ZA? Can I uninstall Windows Live Essential because I'm getting errors with upgrades to that too. I need help!

    Hello;

It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country, without All the Details, without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..

What type and Version of ZoneAlarm?
    What Windows OS XP/Vista/Windows7 ?
Exact Error message? Screenshot of the problem?

You need to post more information to give other users a chance to Figure out your problem and help you?

    Question Re: Microsoft Security Essentials

antiqueali, I will assume this is you > http://social.answers.microsoft.com/...8-e68335be7f91 on another forum.

If you have ZA Suite and MSE is trying to install/ run and your pc crashes ...then you should properly 'un-install' MSE. Microsoft Security Essentials is Microsoft's "new- free" anti-virus/ anti-malware that has been "inadvertently" been updated to many users who have "auto/ install-updates" for Microsoft and who may be less aware of such matters.

    Anyways, first...

    1 - go to windows 'add/ remove - Control Panel> Programs> Uninstall a program' and un-install MSE/ MicrosoftSecurityEssentials.
Click here for precise details > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2435760 .
You should never have two anti-virus software on a pc. Right now you have ZA Suite with av.

2 - I would recommend you change your Windows Update from 'auto install' to 'check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install' = which gives you - the user - full control over what get's installed instead of 'auto install' (which is how MSE got installed/ trying to run on your pc > crashed your pc).

3 - Windows Live Essentials is different from MSE- not the same. Please search for info on Live Essentials - you may customize/ add/ remove various programs - but please be certain and seek more guidance. (if you use Hotmail or other Live ID programs/software please be careful not to remove 'all of Live Essentials - you may need certain ones) [go to Microsoft forums to resolve this].

Alternate scenario: if you can't find the real MSE to un-install, then you may have a fake MSE scareware > http://blogs.pcmag.com/securitywatch...soft_secur.php
and now you will have to clean this infection/ scareware.

Also see Malware board, see Guru's advice to clean.

...or it may be this trojan...Packed.Win32.Krap.ao

If this is it, your ZA Suite (Kaspersky av) should be able to detect it; therefore run your scans and/ or use the Malware clean up guide as mentioned before > http://forums.zonelabs.com/showthread.php?t=70448
