Default File .tmp ceased working - ZA

i am having a problem installing ZA

i had it install previously but i somehow got a trojan, which stopped loading ZA at startup.

i uninstalled it and am trying for the past two days to install it again but with no luck.

i keep getting a error relating to a glb***.tmp file.

i have checked the manual clean list a few times.

i have also tried in safemode and its the same error.

i can not understand it one bit.

i do have NOD32 installed but in safemode none of this loads up so it should work.

i am also trying the latest version as well as a version i had before, its not making any sense. its a dell so no problems there either.

    hope someone else has suggestions.

    thanks in advance.

Sorry, I think you Skipped over many of the steps suggested..

other wise all traces of Zone Alarm would have been Removed..

and For sure you did not follow the Advise at the end of the suggested link:

"please get specialised malware support to remove any malware. Post your Hijackthis log to Bleepingcomputer or SpywareHammer."

I did all the steps, well I'm pretty sure I did, cause I no way wanted to do a reinstall
of windows. I didn't do the last hijack this cause I didn't think it would help. It's a driver that might be causing it.

I just got tired of trying for three days so I did a reinstall cause I didn't want to switch to another firewall, that was a no no no.

    Thanks everyone for the replies.

    Sorry,

    I'm all out of suggestions..
The Advice given Already, will fix Bad/Corruted Installs, and Malware infection problems..

The only thing left, would be A corrupted Windows Install, or other Programs Blocking the install of Zone Alarm.

There are Millions of user of ZA Free that have had no problem installing ZA Free 9.2

You may need to Remove Zone Alarm, and make sure your Windows is Updated and Running Good as it should before Installing a Good fresh Download of ZA Free, or maybe try moving on thos some other FREE Firewall?
