    Default internet access fails

Thanks for all replies in advance. My operating system is windows xp pro. Zone alarm extreme version is 9.3.037. this problem has been happening for sometime. When I reboot my pc the internet connection never works. I have to do a repair on the connection to get it to work. after the repair I always have to respond to the message about a new network found and allow it into the trusted zone. If I take zone alarm down before the repair the connection works ok. Recently zone alarm ask me if I wanted to go to the max security level and after replying yes I lose all connectivity to the internet which is extreme security but not what I was hoping for. Can anyone tell me what settings could be causing these problems?

Normally this happens due to incorrect or currupted ZA settings related to the trusted zone, DNS and DHCP.

How do you connect to the internet?
What do you see under the ZA firewall section?
What do you see under the ZA firewall section --> zone?

More information will post related to your settings more likely other users here will be able to help you and point to potential incorrect settings.

I have a microwave high speed connect which consist of a dish on the top of my house pointing to a tower 2 miles away.
Under the firewall section (main) everything is currently on medium. high disconnects me.
(zone) shows my network in trusted plus the dhcp server and the loopback address
    (expert) empty

Sorry way too vague.... you have to list everything, IPs and the corresponding settings, also check the ZA logs for elements that are blocked. In here we are all users and without the right information is basically not possible to help you apart suggesting to reset the settings.

If you have a valid license probably better you contact the ZA official technical support at the link in my signature. They will help you to troubleshoot your issues.

    Thanks,
