Thread: ZA Security Alert problem

    Default ZA Security Alert problem

    I'm running ZA Extreme Security Version 9.3.037.000. Most times, but not all, when I boot my computer I get this message:

    Zone Alarm Security Alert
    Server Porgram
    Application: WCESCOMM.EXE
    __________________________


    I check to "Remember This Setting" and "Allow". But next time I boot the computer I usually get the same message. I had lots of these type of alerts when I first installed ZA but all but this one went away after "allowing" them. Anybody have a clue as to how to get this fixed? Thanks.

    Welcome to the Zone Alarm User Forum..

    Sorry, I have not had that problem,
    we are all Users here in this User Forum..

    I suggest Contacting the Official Tech Support (Live Chat) link in my Signature.. (Free of charge to users of the Paid ZA product)

    They are usually Closed on Holidays, but I just Checked the Live chat link and they are Online at this time..

    Thanks for the information GeorgeV. I will take your advice and give them a call. It's not a BIG problem, just annoying. I've been a paid user of ZA products for many years and this is the first "problem" that I haven't been able to solve by myself. Thanks again.

    I just contacted ZA Technical Support and received this info:

    Kelly: 1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together

    Kelly: 2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock

    Kelly: 3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up

    Kelly: 4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box

    Kelly: 5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system

    Kelly: 6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

    I followed the above and after having to reboot and go through the installation routine it seems to have fixed the problem. I had to enter a bit of info pertaining to the installation and some custom configuration issues but all my user info, etc. seems to be intact. So thanks for the suggestion, and being able to get it done on a holiday speaks fine of ZA's tech support. Thanks again and take care!
