The problem does not exist with the concurrently-installed MiKTeX 2.8.
I've configured these .exe's so as to have full Access as programs and as Servers.
The problem is reliably reproducible and definitively due to ZA Pro, since shutting down ZA Pro allows the MiKTex programs to execute without error.
How might I fix this?
