If it does it should not be noticeable, moving to trusted may or may not change it. Ensure your DNS and DHCP IPs are added to the trusted zone and that the trusted zone is set to MEDIUM and not high.

    Question Re: Download Speed

    Hello again,

regarding ZA Pro, should i addd my internet connection to trusted zone or internet zone? which is better/safer? or is it better to open a certain port only?

you also mentioned adding DHCP IP and DNS to trusted zones
you mean under firewall-->zones? wherer my DHCP ip is: 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

i can't find any dns here

    Regards.

192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 --> This is your network or internal LAN not your DHCP. It is managed by your router. Normally should be set as TRUSTED.

Your router (most probably with an non routeable IP 192.168.1.1) will act as DHCP (= allocating non routable IPs to all attached devices). This is why its important your router is set as trusted under the ZA firewall zones. Setting the LAN as trusted will automatically trust all non routeable IPs in the LAN.

The DNS is also normally managed by the router or directly via your ISP. To know about your IP, DHCP and DNS you will need to run a command in the OS: start --> run --> type cmd --> in the new window type IPCONFIG /all. If you have trouble with the above just google it. There are plenty of guides out there...

If you are running an up to date version of ZA the DHCP should be added automatically at install. Also it is advisable to exclude the main ZA process from your antivirus (vsmon.exe, zlclient.exe)

Yes, DNS normally is not added. You can add it manually unless its the same IP as your DHCP.

Yes, antivirus software has normally a section for excluding files/process from scanning.
