Default How do I change the AV update interval?

My ZoneAlarm is updating very frequently, and the HD activity interferes with burning DVDs; this has ruined several disks for me. I've read reference here to changing the update interval, and I'd like mine to update maybe once a day, in the very early morning.

But I can find no way to change the update interval in my ZoneAlarm. I have version 9.3.037.00. How do I change the update interval?

This is normally not recommended since it will weaken substantially your protection but you can change frequency under the advanced options (updates) of the ZA antivirus/antispyware section.

Remember that ZA will always try to update as soon as it detects the line if it was not able to update according to the schedule you set. ZA normally also updates after having booted the PC. The update should have no influence on CD burning unless the system is old, with little RAM and no burning cache.

Always remember that if you have a valid license you can contact the official ZA technical support at the link in my signature.
