    Default Manual update

I have ZASS 9.3.037; I have manual update checked under Preferences. ZASS stills updates...and of course the dreaded drag on the system occurs. Help. Thanks.

    Default Re: Manual update

Under preferences you have the product update and not the definition update. You find the definition update under the advanced options of the antivirus/antispyware section.

I would nevertheless try to foresinc the slow down rather than just turning the update off... security comes first. Better to remove ZA if it is not working well and choose something else.

When ZA started to slow down the system? What was changed? What do you have installed? Other overlapping security tool? Do you have enough RAM? Did you de-fragmented your HD? Have your cleaned your HD, registry and OS? Have you tried to reinstall fresh ZA?

Also note that if you have a valid license you can contact, free of charge, the official ZA technical support at the link in my signature (we are all users here).

Finally have a good browsing of this forum section. You will find many troubleshooting steps to try.

    Thanks,
