Thread: Super Scan

    Default Super Scan

    Zone Alarm Extreme Security v9.3.037.000
    Win 7 Pro 64 bit

    I have Super Scan selected.
In File Explorer, I right click on the C drive and
    select “Scan with Zone Alarm”
It runs the scan while I continue working on the computer.

Does this scan work the same and is just as effective
compared to booting into the safe mode and running
a Super Scan on the C drive?

    Thanks in advance.

you should run the scan from the ZA main interface. This will ensure the scanning of all files and the memory and not just files contained in X drive. SAFE MODE (with networking) is more effective since the system is booting with minimal startup items and removing files/malware can be easier. However, some malware blocks SAFE MODE for this reasons.
