Default Can ZA Extreme AV feature be turned off?

Can the antivirus module of ZAES be completely turned off if somebody already has an AV product so that both products can coexist without conflict? Thanks.

If you prefer another 3rd party Anti-Virus, you may be better off,
Down-grading to Zone Alarm Pro that does not include the Builtin Kaspersky Anti-Virus module..

Thanks, Guru GeorgeV and Fax. Using ZAPro only solves things for a few days or weeks. When the new ZoneAlarm 10 comes out, and if were to upgrade to ZAPro 10, I will no longer be able to use Forcefield. The Forum Moderator said that standalone Forcefield is being discontinued.

So unless ZA changes things so that the new ZAP 10 also includes Forcefield, the only way to get Forcefield in the future will be through ZAES. So if the new ZAP 10 doesn't have Forcefield, then that is a problem.

    Your Welcome..

Sorry it looks like you have a hard choice to make, in your original post you did not like the Kaspersky Anti-Virus in ZA Extreme that comes with Full Blown Forcefield with Virtualization, and you prefered to Keep using your prefered Anti-virus..

1.) you can abandon your prefered Anti-Virus and stay with ZA Extreme that has the Full Forcefield built into it, or

2.) Downgrade to ZA Pro or ZA Free so that you can use your favorite AV,
However I'm not sure if the old Stand alone Forcefield will be compatible with the new ZA Pro 10? it may be compatible we don't know yet..

However there will be no Support or Updates for the old Standalone Forcefield when support is discontinued.. Sorry

3.) I prefere using the Full blown Zone Alarm Extreme..

The other issue is Firefox 4. So even if Standalone Forcefield were to work with ZAP 10 (which I doubt), it won't with Firefox 4. So that does only leave ZAES.
