    Default Forcefield v IE9 "inprivate"

I have Forcefield and installed IE9 without understanding the two are incompatible.
IE9 has an "inprivate" browser option.
Does this offer all the security that Forcefield does or should I try to revert to IE8?

It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country, without All the Details about your computer and Software that you failed to provide, without our ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..

If you have the Standalone Forcefield verion, it will not support IE9,
and plans are to Discontinue Support for the Standalone Forcefield version.

However, when Zone Alarm Extreme Security Ver. 10 is released, the Forcefield in ZA Extreme ver 10 will be compatible with IE9..

Here is a Quote from the Forum Moderator posted at the Top of the Forcefield Area.

We are in the process of removing the purchase option of the Standalone version of Forcefield from our website.

Anyone who has purchased the Standalone Forcefield will be giving the option to convert there ZoneAlarm Firewall license to an Extreme version license so that they will have compatibility with IE9 and Firefox 4 when version 10 is released.

All you need to to is ask customer service live chat and have your current ZoneAlarm firewall license at hand.

If you have a stand-alone ForceField (the virtual browser protection software; not the regular ZA toolbar) - you can use IE8 for now.

Within IE8 there are two "InPrivate" security/ privacy features: 'InPrivate Browsing' and 'InPrivate Filtering.'

Best combo when using ForceField & IE8 is: Forcefield browser opened in "Private Browser" mode and 'InPrivate Filtering' in IE8 Safety options (there is no need for 'InPrivate Browsing' since Forcefield Private Browser is erasing all history, cookies, most temp data, etc. after you close / or clear virtual data). [ personal tip for 'InPrivate Filtering' auto block and set for 3 ...web site visits...]

From what I've read - IE9's No Track is similar to InPrivate Filtering of IE8= it's just been renamed and replaced.

IE9 No Track = IE8 InPrivate Filtering - blocking tracking data bits
Forcefield Private Browser mode = IE8/ IE9 InPrivate Browser - cookies, history and other temp data are erased - leave no trace on pc.
IE9 has no greater advantage than IE8 on this particular feature/ issue.
ForceField Browser Protection > <> sadly discontinued for new purchase alone.
