    Default IE9 Circumvents Zone Alarm

I installed IE 9 last night and checked it this morning (I normally use FF4).

I expected a message from ZA to say "IE has changed, do you want to allow it access to the internet?" but no such message appeared and IE was able to access the web without restriction.

    Why is this?

    Pete

I am Sorry that you did not take a few Minutes to Read a few of the Important "Sticky Post" at the Top of this ZA Free Section..

You would have seen this Zone Alarm NOTICE:

ZoneAlarm security toolbar and ForceField version 9.x and below are not compatible with Firefox 4 and IE 9

We are currently in BETA TESTING with a new version 10 which will be compatible once its been release to the public.

Sorry no ETA when that will be released.

    IE9 didn't circumvent ZA.

ZA knows tens of thousands of trusted applications and automatically configures ZA when they try to access the internet.

This is to cut down on alerts. When we didn't do this the complaints were huge from users that ZA was too noisy and takes to much of a users time to allow programs that were everyday, popular program to access the internet.

So we do it for you.

IE9 is a trusted app and we check all the trusted apps to be sure they ere not modified in any manner so no need to worry about that one.
