Default Google Chrome basic protection compability

    Good day everyone,

I'm sorry if the question seem to be weird but I wan't to be sure...

I'm a Google Chrome and Zone Alarm antivirus happy user :-)

But, I know that Goolge Chrome is not compatible with ZoneAlarm toolbar and Forcefeild technologies and I can live with it...

But is ZoneAlarm Antivirus provide the basic antivirus protection for my computer as a Google Chrome user? By example catch known threat downloaded trought the Google Chrome Browser.

Thanks and have a nice day !

Yes, regardless of the browser used any known malware will be detected "on access". You are perfectly safe.

Hi, I'm setup like bonsky: I have ZA and I like to use Google Chrome. I know Force Field doesn't work with Chrome.

But I still use an IE "Secure Browser" for my secure stuff. I would rather use Chrome for everything as it is fast and clean.

Does anyone know if Chrome is as safe as IE Secure Browser with Force Field?

Yes, if you use a ZA version without the ZA virtualization technology (in ZA Extreme) you will benefit from the same ZA protection. If not, no.

    Good day Fax...

Is it mean that the web malware/phishing protection service from ZA can work with other browser ?

By example , if we're under the ZoneAlarm Antivirus + Firewall 2012 protection and using Google Chrome or Opera...

If we go to a known malware/phishing , is ZA will block the page and show the alert popup? or nothing will happen and if we download something, ZA will block on access?

I simply want to know how far is the web protection of ZA for the other browser.

    Thanks !

Yes, the OP question was related to the IE Secure Browse/Google and the answer was focused on that. You are obviously right about all what relates to the missing ZA toolbar in Chorme.
