Default zonealarm& win 7 public networks

    Hi,

I've been using zonealarm antivirus 9.3.037.000v and I've noticed that windows 7 64bits sp1 won't save my public network preferences; I connect to internet mainly trough public hotspots, and everytime I connect I have to disable manually network discovery and file/printer shares, because on a public network I do not want these options available.

If I use win 7 firewall this does not happen and the preferences are saved, so it must be something related with zonealarm.

    thanks for any help.

Default zonealarm& win 7 public networks

    Hi!

as far as I know shares are governed by ZA and not win7. So regardless of what win7 says, if your hotspot is set as "internet" in your ZA firewall zones. No one on that network will have access to your shared resources.

Considering you are a licensed users of ZA you can contact, free of charge, the official ZA technical support at the link in my signature (all users here).

    Cheers,
