I have a 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium system, latest updates (as of this posting) running Zonealarm Internet Security Suite version 9.3.037.0000.
Here's my problem. When I connect to my company's SBS 2003R2 server via PPTP VPN, I soon encounter a problem where most of my local system files become inaccessible, as though the system path becomes invalid. The typical messages for running a local file, such as notepad.exe for example, are "Windows can not access specified device, file, or path. You may not have the appropriate permission to access this item."
I've attempting resetting Zonealarm via the system tray icon methodology, done a complete uninstall/reinstall of ZA, but still experience this issue.
Any ideas what might be going on here? I've read of similar issues with earlier versions of ZA and never had this problem myself in years past until recently.
