Default [SOLVED] Zone Alarm Pro default and GRC leak test

I just installed the latest version of ZA Pro Firewall, and ran a test with the GRC Firewall Leak Test LINK, and the firewall was easily penetrated/failed the test.

Is this a cause for concern?

    Thanks

Adjusted the title to clearly hint to the type of leak test.

Cause of concern? No, that is just a test. Your tools need to defend the system from real threats not leak tests.
However, ZAPRO always pass that test. So your ZAPRO may be damaged or corrupted or your settings are incorrect. Try to reset, re-install your ZA.

Exact version of ZA? How are the main settings? OS version? Other security tools running? You need to provide far more information if you want to give to others users here a little chance to help!

    ZA Pro Version 10.0.240.000
Win 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
The main settings are the DEFAULT settings when installed.
Malwarebytes real time protection only other security tools running.

My point was unless you manually adjust the Application Control to Maximum, ie get alerts when you open any app, the standard (default) settings fail this test.

Why is it not a cause for concern?

    Thanks!

    Yes, this is by design.

During the first 21 days of use ZA program control is set to AUTO. This will minimise the pop-ups and learn your system and minimise potential issues of wrong user settings. All permission for known good, known bad and unknown programs will be set automatically. Tests are not recognised as known bad.

You may want to learn how ZA program level works by going into the online help. (Help --> Help and search for "Understanding Auto-Learn")

Closing this thread since the issue has been addressed. Please do not hesitate to PM in case you need to re-open it.

    Thanks,
