Default annoying new behaviour in release 10

ZA always starts a virus scan shortly after booting up, even though it is not scheduled. Furthermore, even if I disable scans under Scheduled Tasks, the next time the computer starts they are enabled again.

Also, if update check is not scheduled, it is not possible to perform a manual update. It seems ridiculous for the program to nag you and warn you that your computer is at risk, and then prevent you from updating it yourself!

I run updates pretty much every time I use my computer, and scan frequently. But I want to do it at a convenient time of my own choosing, and not be nagged, forced or "scheduled" into it.

This behaviour is new to the latest version of ZA. The old
version was fine - please change it back! Thanks!

    1. The virus scan starting on reboot of your system is not normal behavior.
You can contact support about this. They will probably collect logs for it.

    2. The ability to disable scheduled scans is broken and is a known bug.

    3. This is as designed. If you DISABLE product updates its disabled through out the software.
If we allow manual updates we have a bunch of users complaining that its not a true disabled function. With either way some one is not going to like its behavior and we decided to implement its functionality in this manner and will be staying like this.
