    Angry ZAES ver 10 update concerns

    In response to a ZA message, I just updated to the 2012 version.
    see the new version info below.
    My reason for his thread is that the update was VERY different than my past experiences.
    More feedback than issues here. but ....
    1. when asked to run or download, I (am sure) that I chose download. It went straight into an installation. (it appeared to have downloaded a download manager?)
    2. the displayed numbers for time and volume and speed during the download were totally bogus. While I'm not really concerned, displaying could raise questions in my mind about the programming - better not to display numbers, perhaps just the typical progress bar?
    3. In all previous updates, I was ASKED FOR MY PASSWORD. this time I was NOT. The old version was just uninstalled. This is, IMHO, a SERIOUS SECURITY VIOLATION.

    I looked for a place to provide ZA feedback directly, but did not find one.

    This Forum exist to allow Volunteer experienced Zone Alarm Users to help the Few Users who encounter a problem with ZoneAlarm and need to be guided in the right direction.. We are all Users here, ZA Staff does not normally monitor thus User Supported Forum..

    Our live chat work very well and when it does not its an issue with the browser or something on the PC that not allowing the Chat code to operate properly.

    first, i didn't see that my message wouldn't appear before a moderator "???" so I'm afraid I reposted . sorry

    I'm not judging the design of the new Ver. 10 [yet - need to live with it for a while.]

    I AM judging the install processes. It should ask for a password and it should not mess around with my favorites.
