    Default Error code 127 when updating to 2012 ZES

    I'm having problems updating from ZAExtreme Security 9.3.037.000 to the new 2012 version on a Win7 x64 machine.

    The installation gets 12% through the Configuring stage and then shows Error Code 127 (52ef3da). When I click on OK, the error code dialogue changes to Error code 127 (52ef312).

    Win 7 then takes over and tells me that the installer is not working and to either search for help or close it.

    Suggestions/workarounds?

    Same problem. Error 127.

    Tried update via web, also downloaded complete installation file. No difference.

    Windows Vista (32 bit) laptop.

    Reinstalled previous version.

    sorry we are all users here, If you have a valid ZA license Please contact the ZA technical support at the link in my signature and troubleshoot the issue with them.

    Please post back here if you find a solution. It may help...

    Note:
    It is normally Helpful when posting here to give full details of your computer setup.

    Give the Exact Type and version of Zone Alarm used, Windows Version used, other security tools installed.

    is this a First time install?
    Stopped working recently?
    any other issues?
    any Error messages in the ZA logs?

    The More information you post the more likely users here will be able to understand the issue and try to help.

    also is this a DeskTop, Laptop computer or Netbook.

    Error code 127 is a know issue and we are working on a fix.

    If you get this error all you can do for now is uninstall ZA using the Clean.exe program
    http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...load/clean.exe

    Then download the previous version 9.3 and install that.
    Ignore any update messages until starting next week.
    We will have a fix next week and the software will tell you there is an update once again.

    Version 10.0.243.000 solved the Error 127 Installation problem for me.
