    Default PC-Tuneup

    Running Windows 7 64bit. ZoneAlarm version: 10.0.241.000.

TuneUp button produces the following error:

Access violation at: 04AB0000. Write of address 04AB0000.

I reinstalled PC Tune-up and get the same error.

    Suggestions?

then Uninstall 10.0.140 and Reboot computer then install 10.0.243.000

Default Re: PC-Tuneup - I too get Access Violation error

When I click the PcTuneup button in the new ZA (since June?), I have always got the following message:
    > PCTuneup
    > Access violation at address 02E40000. Write of address 02E40000.

Today I renewed my subscription. On advise of Tech chat, I ran ZA's removal tool before installing v 10.0.250.000. Still getting the error when I click PCTuneup. It also gives me the following shortly after:

    > Exception EReadError in module PCTuneup.exe at 000AFB7F.
? Error reading TextLabel.Lines.Strings: Access violation at address 02E40000. Write of address 02E40000.

    Windows XP SP3
    ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version: 10.0.250.000
    vsmon version: 10.0.250.000
    Driver version: 10.0.250.000
    Anti-virus engine version: 8.1.8.79
Anti-virus signature DAT file version: 1049394496
    AntiSpam version: 6.3.1.4971
    ZoneAlarm Browser Security: 1.5.322.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner: 1.5.322.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database: 1.2.104.0
ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database: 04.155

Also, possibly unrelated, when I click "update" Zonealarm reports, which I hope is only because I renewed on the day of expiration and will fix itself in a day or two:

    > Update finsished
    > Update Product: Finished
    > 100%
    > (X) Anti-virus/Anti-spyware update: Error

    Solution?
    Hi;

I can't replicate it here. PC-Tuneup works perfectly fine since version 250. I have seen this on users that have not fully removed ZA and its settings before installing 250.

If you have already tried to remove ZA, run the removal tool and install the latest version then please contact ZA technical support and report about it. This is the only way to have the issue fixed. More reports by users to official support (not here) of this problem more likely development team will look into it.

    Thanks,
