We have no idea what the issue is.

We do thousands of chats a day with users. First time we ever heard of this.

If I were to take a guess I would say its a add-on or plugin to your browsers interfering with chat. Or possible another applications interfering with the chat technology in the browser.

If you don't think thats your issue try a different PC at work, friends, or library just to see if it connects to chat. That will verify its something on your PC.

1.) Check your Windows Host file and see if https://support.zonealarm.com/ site is listed, if so remove the listings from the HOST file..

2.) It may also be possible that your Browser or Add-on may have placed ZA Support link above on a Black list ..

3.) your computer may also be infected and blocking access to websites that provide Security updates or Customer/Tech Support..?

Considering your recurring problems with XP and your New Windows 7 Computer..

A.) I would recommend that you try Steps 2 & 3 in my previous post, are easier than fixing Step one..

B.) You can find the "HOST" file on both XP and Win 7 with Windows Explorer Search function, but you must configure Windows Explorer to Disply "HIDDEN" files, once you find the HOST file, it will be "Write Protected" and prevent you from editing it, until you Un-Write Protect it..

Can you list the add-ons you have currently loaded in Internet Explorer? Are you using IE9? If yes, go to tools --> Manage add-ons and list here what is loaded.

Also list any other security tools you are running. Any beta program running?

I see the same error here, so we could trace the culprit more easily.

*EDIT: The issue seems resolved I can access now the page. Didn't do anything in particular. So, probably something was fixed at their end.

    Thanks,
    Fax
