Default [SOLVED] vsmon.exe*32 slows computer Vista 64 -> updated to latest version

vsmon runs constantly when nothing is being downloaded, uses up to 60% of CPU, probably averages about 20-25% when the computer is in "idle". I have no idea what it is checking. Firefox 5 pages are loading very slow. This does not occur constantly, just very frequently.

Vista Home Premium 64 bit OS
    SP2
    Pentium D 2.8GHz
    4.0 GB RAM

    ZoneAlarm version: 10.0.241.000
    vsmon version: 10.0.241.000
    Driver version: 10.0.217.000
    Anti-virus engine version: 8.1.8.79
Anti-virus signature DAT file version: 1057067232
    ZoneAlarm Browser Security: 1.5.311.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner: 1.5.53.235
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database: 1.2.104.0
ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database: 04.155

    Any help will be appreciated.

First you need to update to the latest version of ZA, what you have installed does NOT support Firefox 5. Remove your current ZA before installing the latest to ensure you start clean.

You will find the link to the latest version at:
    Looking for the latest version?

Then you should try to exclude any third party software conflicting with ZA by:

    1.) Click Start -> Run
2.) Type MSConfig in the run box (or search box in VISTA and win7) and click OK (ENTER in VISTA and win7)
3.) Once in MSConfig, click the Startup Tab
4.) Remove the checks from everything
    5.) Click the Services Tab
6.) Place a check in "Hide All Microsoft Services"
7.) Now remove checks from everything other than TrueVector Internet Monitor and ForceField (if present), and click OK.
    8.) Restart your computer

How does it work? Better? If yes, slowly check back items by group of three of four to find the culprit.

NOTE: You can place your computer back into a normal startup process by
    going back into msconfig

The new version of ZAES resolved the problem.

I always check for the latest updates by usling "Update Now." I don't understand why I didn't get a message or something about the newest update.

    Thank you for your Feedback..

WHAT You are not Aware of, is that the Product Update Servers are Controled by the Marketing Department, and the Availability of a New Product Flag is Normally Turned OFF and can be activated or restricted to Targeted Customers, Currently "Turned ON" for Users with ZA 9.3x, and not Users of 9.2 or earlier products and Not for users of ZA 10.x products at this time..

Those Users not on the "CFU" activation list, can Go the the Web-site and Manually download the Current Product for their Active License Key..
