Angry Internet Protection Disabled on Reboot

I'm using the Google Chrome browser and Windows XP Second Edition. I just did a clean install of the newest version of ZoneAlarm Security Suite about a week ago.

I've run into a disturbing bug. When I turn my computer on I check ZoneAlarm and of the 3 tools "Computer" "Internet" and "Identity and Data", the "Internet" option ALWAYS says "Not Protected, your computer is at risk." So I log in, click on "Fix It" and then log out so that no security settings can be changed.

Well ... not sure what happens, but when I boot up the next time ... same thing. I feel I'm at risk and I'm not sure what is causing these changes. According to ZoneAlarm I have a clean slate, no viruses or spyware.

How do I fix this and what could be responsible for this?

    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner: 1.5.322.0

ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database: 04.155
