Exclamation ZA IS 10.0.250 and Citrix

I hope I can provide enough relevant information to make it possible to obtain some thoughts on the following information...

I am unable to access my hospital's electronic medical record Citrix server post upgrade to ZA IS 10.0.250...when I double click on the relevant icon, ZA asks if I want to save or run the file...when I click save, it does not really save it...when I click run, it confirms the file is safe, but when I click "run", nothing happens.

The only way I can access the server is via turning off Web Security.

I am running the program on a Dell Vostro tower, Windows XP Pro, all service packs and updates installed, and here is the clipboard copied info from ZA:

    ZoneAlarm Security Suite version: 10.0.250.000
    vsmon version: 10.0.250.000
    Driver version: 10.0.217.000
    Anti-virus engine version: 8.1.8.79
Anti-virus signature DAT file version: 1057332544
    ZoneAlarm Browser Security: 1.5.322.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Scanner: 1.5.322.0
    ZoneAlarm ForceField Anti-Phishing Database: 1.2.104.0
ZoneAlarm ForceField Spyware Sites Database: 04.155

I guess I can just either turn on and off the Web Security as needed, but that is a nuisance...I did try unclicking all the options in advanced settings, but it still blocked access.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Peter

P.S. Interestingly, I am able to access that Citrix server running the same Citrix software and ZA IS version on a HP Pavilion notebook running Vista Home Premium 64 bit, without difficulties with the Web Security.

I have been in touch with tech support, sure is great to have instant web access...unfortunately, they have no idea how to explain it either, suggested I create a log and send to the developers...options I am left with are:

    1. Revert to an older ZA IS
    2. Turn Web Security off and back on whenever I access the Citrix server
    3. Just leave Web Security off all the time...frankly, since I really don't spend time surfing the web and downloading files, I am tempted to just leave it off...unless anyone thinks that's foolish.

This has always been a great forum for troubleshooting....if I ever get any insight on the issue at hand, I will leave a followup post.

Probably a bug with web security.

So leave it off when accessing this medical site.

Logs might help developers fix the issue in a later build but when it comes to web security fixes they are far and few between due to the complexities of web security.

Yes, that makes sense, we need to be realistic as to the fact that no software can be predicted to play well in the sandbox with every other possible piece of software in the world.

Now I have a new problem with ZA on my notebook, it is running virus scans on a daily basis, tech support indicated my only recourse is to turn off automatic scans and just scan manually...so, I have ZA on three systems, and each seems to have its own idiosyncracies!

I am guessing this issue must be prevalent, since as noted, tech support told me to just turn off automatic scanning, rather than send in the logs...they already have my logs about the Citrix issue...I was hoping the new version offered something bigger and better than version 9, but now I can't help but wonder...might be worth going back to 9 and just clicking "remind me later" every two weeks about the upgrade...

Its designed to automatically update the Av definitions automatically every 3 hours.

The bug where the scheduler AV scan happening at every reboot was identified and fixed in build 250 already.

Many people get confused between these two and think the av scan is the av update.
