Thread: Zonealarm popup message is blank?

    Default Zonealarm popup message is blank?

    I just switched to 10.0 and I keep getting a blank popup.

    it is a zonealarm message, but there is nothing to see/read.

    what do I need to do to fix this?

    It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country, or around the World,
    without All the Details about your computer and Software that you failed to provide, without our ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..

    Note:

    It is normally Helpful when posting here to give full details of your computer setup.

    Give the Exact Type and version of Zone Alarm 10 used,
    Windows Version used, other security tools installed.

    is this a First time install?
    Stopped working recently?
    any other issues?
    any Error messages in the ZA logs?
    and what are the steps you took to reproduce the problem.


    The More information you post the more likely users here will be able to understand the issue and try to help.

    also is this a DeskTop, Laptop computer or Netbook.

    Since you failed to provide any additional information requested above?

    I'll give you a generic Solution that may fix your problem..

    It looks like your Upgrade Download may Have been Corrupted durring the Download or install proccess.

    The Best Fix for this problem is to Uninstall the Corrupte Version.. and download a fresh copy of ZA 10.0.250.000 and do a Clean re-install.

    The safest procedure is to :


    1.) Download the Latest installer preferably with IE Browser and (no Download Manager/accelerator like Get-Right, Livewire, Bit-Torrent, uTorrent) and save it to your Hard drive.

    2.) Now Uninstall Zone Alarm using Windows Uninstall or on Windows 7 , Control Panel/Uninstal a program option.

    Or (you can Download the ZA Removal Tool: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...load/clean.exe

    3.) Now Install the new update (clean Install) and Accept the default Setting, Auto-Learn Mode and Choose Trusted Zone, not Internet Zone..
