Default [INFO] Program access permission and "trust level" in version 10

Does ZAES 2012 have a program permission list similar to version 9--the list that has the Trust level, and columns for checkmarks for access and server, so that individual programs can be fine tuned? Thanks.

    Hi!

access to internet and server right are under application control, they are named differently since users were confused about meaning of trusted access and server rights to the internet. But functionality is just the same as before. The OS firewall settings (trust level) is under "option" on the same panel (select the program you want to customise) and push "option".

Trust level was hided most probably due to users commonly changing default settings causing the OS or programs not working correctly and then blaming ZA for it. Many of them coming here asking for resetting the settings.

Remember also about new behaviour of allow/deny as specified here:
Permanently allow or deny with za10

Again I assume this was done due to the majority of users coming here and complaining settings were not kept but they did not select "remember" as well as users mistakenly choosing permission while on smartdefense OFFand getting multiple pop-ups.

Also watch out for microsoft signed files, a setting in application control (enable microsoft catalogue utilization) will override whatever settings you apply.

Finally be careful to set everything to manual, unless you know what you are doing it can cause issue to your OS or programs. This may happen only under certain scenario and may not be easily traced back to ZA permissions.

Latest edition seems disegned to reduce users problems while ensuring a correct functioning of the system and its security.

    Cheers,
