Cool Deep A/V scan differs from Malwaebytes & Ad-Aware

I compared the deep A/V scans of Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware and ZoneAlarm on my C: drive. All produced no infections; however, differed widely in the number of units scanned as follows.
    - Malwarebytes: 205,109 "objects"
    - Ad-Aware: 142,256 (I do not know the units type)
    - ZoneAlarm: 50,289 "files"
Am I not achieving a full scan with ZoneAlarm, or do I not understand the difference between the terms "objects" and "files"???

Sorry only developers know how executables and compressed files are counted. Also check the settings in the antivirus section. There are many options that may further influence the number of files scanned.

    Thanks,

You cant do a comparison like this.

Every company handles it differently with what we count as files and object and such.

This is something no company is going to divulge either.

This is not a good way to evaluate software side by side.

Also the software in question are different classes, especially malwarebytes.

MB is almost in a category of there own and are very unique and powerful.

So you cant compare apples to oranges.
