    Default Unscheduled Normal and Deep Scans

    I am using Zone Alarm Security Suite v 10.0.250.000 with Vista.

    I have seen a number of posts regarding scans happening when not scheduled when PC is rebooted. The latest version claims to have fixed this problem.

    It does seem to be fixed the problem for the Quick Scan but it still happens for “Normal Scan” and “Deep Scan”. If one of these two scans is scheduled, the scan happens and ZASS initially recognises that the scan has occurred. However if PC is rebooted ZASS does not recognise that the scan has occurred so it immediately starts the scan again as the scan is “overdue”. This keeps happening every time the PC is rebooted. The only way to “fix” is to disable the Normal/Deep scan and then re-enable.

    Have others seen this behaviour with scheduled Normal/Deep scans??

    Does anyone have a solution to this problem??

    Confirm that this is also happening to me with v 10.0.250.000 on Windows 7 64 bit version

    Thanks for your response.

    Suggest that you also report to Technical Support. The more feedback there is the more likely that problem will be fixed in next ZASS release.

    I confirm this problem.

    I am running Zonealarm v10 on Windows XP SP3

    Please fix this problem. It is annoying. 1/4th of the time I cannot stop the scan without rebooting. Regards,

    If you have a valid ZA license
    Please click on the Support link in my Signature then click on the LIVE CHAT Link at the top Right side of the SUPPORT page and troubleshoot the issue with Technical Support.

    Give the Exact Type and version of Zone Alarm used, Windows Version used, other security tools installed.

    any Error messages in the ZA logs?
    and what are the steps you took to reproduce the problem.

    The More information you post the more likely Tech Support will be able to understand the issue and try to help.

    also is this a DeskTop, Laptop computer or Netbook.
