    Default ZAES 10 download protection not working with IE9

    When will ZAES download protection be update to be compatible with IE9?

    I am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1 on Lenovo Thinkpad W510 with 16GB. All recent Windows updates installed, including IE 9.0.8112.16421

    Installed ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version: 10.0.250.000

    Now, when I download a file I get the "running security scan" status from IE9 but I no longer get the ZA download and scan pop-ups.

    I noticed this loss of ZAES download protection when I first upgraded to ZAES 10 on top of ZAES 9 even with IE8. Since then I completely uninstalled ZAES 9 (including clean.exe and ff_clean.cmd) then installed ZAES 10. Then, completely uninstalled ZAES 10, updated Windows 7 with SP1 then installed ZAES 10, again. Nothing has restored the ZAES download protection.

    Does anyone have at least one example of download protection working with ZA 10.0.250.00 and IE9 on Windows 7 64-bit?

    I have IE9 32-bit and IE9 64bit running good with ZA Extreme 10.0.250 on all of my Desktop computers..


    10.0.250.000 was released to the public on July 27, 2011. For changes in this version, click here.

    ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version 10.0.250.000
    • Added support for Firefox 5 and Internet Explorer 9 for ZoneAlarm Security toolbar
    • Fixed conflict with HP Support Assistant
    • Fixed problem where a daily scan would sometimes occur when not scheduled
    • Fixed DataLock 64-bit uninstall issue
    • Fixed problem where DataLock could not be uninstalled after full encryption

    You may have a Bad or Currupted Install..

    run the ZA removal tool (to be sure there are no major left overs) then install ZA 10.0.250 with default settings (do not import any previous saved settings).

    download and install a current copy of the latest ZA version 10.0.250.000. <== Click Here

    As I Stated before ZAES 10.0.250 is Compatible with IE9 both 32bit version and IE9 64bit version..

    ZA Tech Support does not Monitor this User Forum..

    You must Click on the Support link and Click on the Live Chat Link on the Support page..

    Sorry We are ALL Users here in this user Forum,

    the best advice is to keep going back to the Official Tech Support and if not resolved then aim for escalating the issue to development.
    If this is an issue with the product its the only way to get it fixed. Also the more users reports the more likely the issue will be looked at. If it only happen in few cases then it will be very low in the priority list.
